What is the best time of year for bird watching in Manu?
Manu is a year-round birding destination. However, the dry season (May to October) is generally preferred as trails are less muddy and access is easier. The wet season (November to April) is excellent for birding as well, as many species are in their breeding plumage and migratory birds from the north are present.
What kind of binoculars or equipment should I bring?
We recommend bringing binoculars with a magnification of 8x42 or 10x42, which are ideal for the low light of the jungle. We provide high-powered spotting scopes for group use.
