Day 1: Cusco - Rainforest Retreat

Departure from Cusco in private transport with a stop at the pre-Inca Ninamarca tombs. Crossing mountain terrain toward the cultural town of Paucartambo, we continue to Tres Cruces, gateway to Manu’s cloud forest. Arrival at our Rainforest Retreat for the night.

Day 2: Rainforest Retreat - Manu Wild Reserve

Scenic journey to Atalaya with wildlife stops along the route. Visit Aguas Calientes for a natural hot spring soak before navigating by boat toward Manu Wild Reserve. After dusk, a guided nocturnal walk reveals rainforest night life.

Day 3: Manu Wild Reserve - Matsiguenka Abode

Boat expedition along the Alto Madre de Dios River into the Conservation Zone. Midway, guided nature walks offer chances to observe wildlife. Evening arrival at the Matsiguenka Abode, operated by the indigenous Matsiguenka community.

Day 4: Matsiguenka Exploration

Morning visit to Cocha Salvador by catamaran for wildlife observation. Continue through untouched rainforest to Cocha Otorongo Lake and its observation tower. Return to the abode for the night.

Day 5: Return to Manu Wild & Mammals Clay Lick

Navigation back toward Manu Wild Reserve. At night we move to a hidden observation house near a mammals clay lick to witness nocturnal wildlife activity.

Day 6: Manu Wild - Rainforest Retreat

Morning exploration before returning by boat to Atalaya. Overland transfer back to the Rainforest Retreat for a final evening in the jungle.
