Detailed Program
01
Day 1: Cusco - Pillcopata (Cloud Forest Transition)
Early morning pick-up from Cusco (around 4:00 am) as we travel toward Paucartambo, stopping for a light breakfast and a short visit to this historic Andean town. We continue to Acjanaco Pass, the gateway to Manu National Park, where we enjoy panoramic views of the cloud forest before descending into the jungle. Along the route we make wildlife stops to search for the Andean cock-of-the-rock, quetzals, primates, and other cloud forest species. Arrival at the lodge in the late afternoon. Overnight in jungle lodge.

Day 2: Lowland Rainforest & Mammals Clay Lick
After breakfast we continue by vehicle to the river port and begin our boat journey into the lowland rainforest. During navigation we look for capybaras, monkeys, birds, and river wildlife. After lunch at the lodge, we walk to a mammals clay lick and wait from a camouflaged observation hide for species such as tapirs, deer, and other nocturnal animals. Overnight at lodge.

Day 3: Jungle Exploration
Early return from the observation hide and breakfast at the lodge. The day is dedicated to guided jungle exploration, wildlife tracking, and interpretation walks. After lunch and rest time, we head out again for bird and insect observation. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.

Day 4: Parrot Clay Lick & River Wildlife
Early boat excursion upriver to visit a parrot clay lick. Breakfast is served on the riverbank while observing activity. We continue exploring key wildlife areas in search of species such as the hoatzin (prehistoric bird), horned screamer, and other Amazon birds. Afternoon transfer to the rainforest lodge for our final night.

Day 5: Return to Cusco
Morning return journey by boat and vehicle toward Cusco, with additional wildlife stops along the route. Arrival in Cusco in the evening.
Lunch will be in the forest or Paucartambo, arriving in Cusco around 4 to 5 in the afternoon.
